  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp (one packet) Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 6 tbsp Butter, Melted
  • 2 Eggs, Beaten
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
Cinnamon Roll Filling
  • 3 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 5 tbsp Butter, Softened
Cream Cheese Icing
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup Confectioners' Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Butter, Softened
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream
Cinnamon Roll Dough Instructions

Take your milk and warm it until it's around 100°F aka lukewarm and add your yeast into it. Remember, you do not want your milk to be too warm otherwise you will kill your yeast. Mix it around and set it aside.

Get out your stand mixer and add in the all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt. Give it a little mix to get everything well combined.

With the dough hook attachment on, add in your yeasty milk, cooled melted butter and eggs to the mixture on medium-low speed.

When ingredients are combined, leave the mixture on medium-low speed for about 3 minutes.

Once a nice dough ball is formed, remove it from the mixing bowl and knead for about 30 seconds to allow for some gluten to form.

Place in a large greased bowl and cover. Let it rest and rise for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Cinnamon Roll Filling Instructions

Mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar for the filling until it is well combined and there are no lumps.

Grease a large baking dish with some extra butter.

Lightly flour a work surface, plat down your dough, and dump it out of the bowl. Flatten it with a rolling pin into a large rectangle that's around 3/4 on an inch thick.

Spread your softened butter over the surface of the dough and then cover evenly with your cinnamon sugar mix.

Tightly roll up your dough evenly from the bottom until you have a long log.

Take a sharp knife and cut the dough into roughly 1 1/2 to 2 inch pieces.

Place in your greased pan with some room in between each roll and their tails facing the other rolls.

Cover with a clean towel or plastic wrap and let them rise for about 30 to 45 minutes or until they've expanded by 1 1/2 size.

Remove your cover and place them in a 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes until you get risen golden brown cinnamon rolls.

Let them cool.

Cream Cheese Icing Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whip your cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla extract, and butter together. Add in your powdered sugar and mix until combined.

When your cinnamon rolls have cooled, ice with icing and they are ready to serve.
